Ray Walker

 Ray Walker, an August 1979 EKU journalism graduate, is the Special Projects and Content Editor for Knight-Ridder/Tribune News Service located in the National Press Building in Washington, DC. Ray worked at five Olympics: Albertville (winter '92); Lillehammer (winter '94); Atlanta (summer '96); Nagano (winter '98); and Sydney (summer '00). He also worked two political conventions, both GOP: New Orleans ('88) and San Diego ('96).

He has edited The Eyes of History the annual awards book of the White House News Photographers' Association for the last three years. He also edited the book It Gets Dark Sometime by Jeffrey Marx, which chronicles his sister's ordeal of having a liver transplant.

Although Walker was the recipient of the the Outstanding Alumni of the Department of Communication in 1996 he said that his most important accomplishment was that he twice ran in the Marine Corps Marathon ('97, '99).
