Dr. John W. Taylor teaches video production, international media, media and society, and new media courses for the Department of Communication at Eastern Kentucky University.  He is a former Senior Fulbright Scholar who has lived and worked abroad in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Republic of Malta, and United Arab Emirates.  In addition to serving as a university professor, Dr. Taylor has experience as an account executive, reporter, news director, consultant, external examiner, public affairs officer, director, producer, and executive producer.  He has produced and directed live and taped productions in the United States, Republic of Malta, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates. 

During his leisure time, Dr. Taylor enjoys traveling, studying languages, shooting digital photography, writing screenplays, playing tennis, and struggling with his golf game.  He also enjoys working on projects with his daughter. Tara, who is an events coordinator for the American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates; his son, Trevor, who is a promotions events coordinator for Emirates Airline; and his wife, Renee, who is the induction coordinator in the College of Education at Zayed University.
