Communication Studies Position (11/2007)
Tenure-track faculty position in communication studies in the Dept. of Communication. Candidates will hold the Ph.D. in communication or a related field (ABD can be hired at the Instructor Rank with proof the degree can be completed in one year) and will have a record of scholarship and teaching in communication studies or related field commensurate with appointment rank (Assistant or Associate Professor). Degree must be from a regionally (SACS, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution. Successful candidate will teach 4 classes a semester in the communication studies area. Ability and interest in teaching interpersonal, small group, health communication, and theory is preferred. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty committed to an innovative undergraduate degree program. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to ongoing academic research and visionary program building.
